Old Fashioned Foxgloves!

Don't you just love Foxgloves?

I've never planted them. They
always seem to know how much I love
them, and reappear each year!
They're so old fashioned,
a perfect addition to my
 cottage garden!

Most are biennials,
they need two years to bloom and then die in the fall.
Mine reseed so prolifically it seems they're perennials.
I usually have two area's in my yard that have
several growing at one time in the early summer!

I get a few different colors, but
these lavender colored beauties,
seem to visit me more than
their dark purple, white or light yellow
sisters!

Just starting to show some color!

I think they're beautiful before they bloom out too!

Beeautiful!

(Is anyone else having problems leaving comments?
It's very frustrating, I've tried & tried to leave
you all comments. I want you all to know for some reason,
I'm just not able too...I know if you're like me,
the comments keep us going, right?!
It gives us affirmation proof someone is reading our blog,
and we looove knowing you've been here!
I'll keep trying, once in awhile I get to leave one,
but very seldom)!

I have foxgloves too that set seed every year, and I adore them! It's good that you gave the poison warning as some folk may not be aware.

I've had awful problems with leaving comments too - try un-checking 'keep me signed in' on blogger, that helped a lot. I've now changed to Mozilla Firefox as a browser from Internet Explorer 9. My problems started when I downloaded IE 9...... Fifefox seems to have solved the problem.

Thanks so much Rose, I'll try that! I've been so frustrated...It never lets me leave you a message! :( I'm so glad you have foxgloves too, I get excited each Spring when I see them coming up!

I have always loved them, too, Debbie but I don't grow them because of the grandkids. Handled wrong they can actually cause heart failure. Digitalis is used for treatment of heart problems...but they are so old-fashioned and beautiful, aren't they?

As to comments...have you tried the trick that when you sign in you have to UNcheck the box that says STAY SIGNED IN? NO check in that box.

Also, when you post and it doesn't go anywhere if you keep hitting Post Comment after three or four times you name should pop up. AFTER that happens on the first blog you try to post on you should be able to post on the others without all that hassel.

I have to sign into my gmail...and then into my blog...and then comment that way...otherwise I can't comment...weird, huh? Hope this helps. xo Diana
