Continuing On, For the Love of Cottage!

~dining room corner cupboard~

This last year was a year of change...

I moved this cupboard from another room
into the dining room, I like it with
my white dishes!

It used to be in the
corner of the living room
holding some of my
Hull vase collection!

We were so lucky to find this
adorable vintage sink to
finish off our
vanity!

~Looove these drapes~

My McGiver bought me these drapes
for Valentines Day last year,
they have TWO matching
twin spreads!!!

I hate to spill the beans about that though,
because the plan

was...

to make a valance for the drapes,
a slip cover for my grandmothers chair
and some pillows.

SERIOUS
PROCRASTINATION
GOING ON
HERE...

I mean well, but honestly
time just flies by and

NOW...

It's a year later!

This year for sure!

~bedroom makeover~

The gorgeous spread and shams were
found at my fave
thriftstore on
two
different
trips!!!

~This last year I learned how to make roses for my cupcakes~

Honestly, these weren't that hard,
You can make them too!

~I looove these chickens~

I found these at my fave thrift store,
they were multi-colored and
not so pretty...

With some white paint and a
little sanding,
 they're
simply
Bootiful now!

I hope to make a few more
changes this year as
well!

Introducing our New Grandson, Angelo!

He's a bit early,
and kind of small.

Mama's Dr. had told them
he was going to be upward
of 9lbs. full term.
 Ouch!
~*~
He weighed 6lbs. 12 oz.
and is 19 3/4 inches long.
We're so grateful that he
seems to be fine after arriving
20 days early!

He's adorable!

His first name is
in honor of my Grandfather,
Angelo!

Introducing
baby,
Angelo Joseph
(little Aj)

~Minutes after Baby Angelo's birth. A little father, son bonding~

Right now he looks a lot like his Daddy,
except for his hair, it's real light
 like his Daddy's was,
(oh, and he has a lot of
hair, way more than his Daddy)!

BUT the difference is.

It has a bend in it,
that's the tell tale sign
of
curly locks...

His Mama has
beautiful curls
and so does
big sister
Lulu!

~A special moment, between Mother & Daughter~

Mama's introducing baby brother to Lulu!

So Sweet!

~Mercedes, Lulu & baby brother Angelo~

Lulu is so excited...even  though,
she was very vocal about
wanting a baby sister...

I just had to share,
this Nana is pretty excited
about this little guy!

Predicted Snowfall, Dusted in and Rained OUT...

Sorry I've been MIA of late.
~*~

I wish I could tell you I've been
on an extended trip to Europe to
visit relatives in Italy that I've
 never met.
or
 Rejuvenating at a full on
vacation spa.

Somewhere with
breathtaking views,
and when the sun comes up,
 it takes my breath away...

but alas...

That would be a lie!

They are real places in my heart,
 that I dream of
visiting someday...

However,

Back to reality...

I've found myself so excited
on the predicted snowfall, promised
by our weathermen for our area
this week!!!

Only
to
be
left
totally
disappointed!

I wanted to wake up to a blanket of
white snow that was serene,
ever so quiet
and
BEAUTIFUL...

I LOVE SNOW!

We don't really get a lot of snow
here in the Pacific Northwest,
like you may think!

Two years ago we got more than
we've had in years
and I LOVED IT!

~like this~
(my summer coffee spot)

This was from the snowfall two years ago, the flakes
were fabulous, it truly was a white wonderland!

~it snowed several more inches after this picture~

~My McGiver out feeding our critters~

Our predicted snowfall amounted to a little
dusting of snow followed by hours
of rain, so I've pulled these
delightful wonderland pictures
out of moth balls to
enjoy
what
could
have
been...

It's okay to dream and
maybe it's a healthy way
to while away the
hours,
or maybe
pick up a
good book,
but best of all,
visit with a
loved one
or
your
best bud!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Always, Debbie~
