Our bedroom is teeny tiny, just big enough for
the essentials and that's a stretch!
I've been putting off showing you even the smallest
little glimpse of this room, but I found the most beautiful
Matelasse spread last week and just today I found pillow
shams to go with it, so I've decided to show it off!
Isn't it pretty?
Guess what?
I found it at my local thrift shop last week for
less
than
$20.00...
I know,
I couldn't believe it either!!!
Just today I found the pillow shams, peaking out in the back,
I'm sooo excited
AND
can you believe,
they were a thrift store find!?!

~oops, the little lamp shade is tilted~
My Dad made the little night stand for me years ago
and a friend painted the adorable key hole on it
with a sweet little cottage inside it!
I know, isn't it funny I ended up with a dresser
that almost matches my nightstand?
The mirror is pretty shabby,
I just adore it,
and when my MacGiver painted it for me,
he left me a little note (still there), saying
he called a store in Seattle that
could replace the beveled mirror for us...
Not
on
your
life,
I looove it just the
way it is,
but I also looove
the fact that he took the time to
find out where to have a new
one made...
How cool was that?!!!

Sweet finds...you have the best thrift stores up there! Happy WW...
The dresser and nightstand....what lovely memories they hold. The spread is great!! It's all so pretty!
Hi Debbie,
I must say I love that spread.. And what a deal you made. I have that exact same spread and I thought I got a deal on it last summer for around $35ish, I still have no pillow shams for it.. The ones I have seen cost more than the spread... Crazy. I just love that little note on the mirror..
Too cute!
Thanks for stopping by my blog, I just love it when I get Visitors..
Hugs, Linda
you've created a very lovely room....the thrift store finds are way too FABULOUS!
So lovely and serene, that green shows up your whites perfectly...Lezlee
I {{{heart}}} white matelasse! It's such a beautiful fabric and it always becomes softer and more lovely with each washing. I have a couple white matelasse coverlets and white matelasse slipcovers on my sofa and loveseat.
Such a pretty, cozy cottage bedroom! Thanks for sharing. :)
I love that tha bedspread! What great luck finding it at a thrift store!!
Thank you for the sweet comment!! I love your bedroom. What color is your paint? I LOVE it!!
Thanks for the info about my birds....I did google them and they must be the House Finches as you said...love your blog
Your bedroom is so restful and lovely! I used to have a white matlesse spread and I miss it so much (my cat did horrible things to the underside stitching). I'd love to have another one! I'm sure you know what a steal you got, too:)
Hi Debbie--Glad you "found" me! Look forward to seeing you on Saturday at Craven Farm. Remember, it's 8:00 am to 1:00 PM. (If it's raining, I'm staying home--had enough of that at Hap's Sale!)
Hugs,
Debi
Love it....the wall color, the sunlight, the comfortable feeling the whole room resonates!! Love it.
My Show n Tell is 'showing off the flowers...". Do come by if you have time today, I'd love to have you visit with me.

Your joy at finding the spread and shams shines through. I'm happy for you. And the matching dressers are fantastic. How wonderful that they came to you from those you love.
